Last day of residency. It is dark and wet and blowing a gale, a fitting changeof weather fromthe dry, bright begining to the week.

No, I didn’t stay like this all night!  Must match commitment, of work I want to accomplish, better with the amount of time and energy I have!

Looking, there is so much in life to see, to feel to experience.

An other wrote ” I am your tutor, what do you want me to write!”  That told me more than you might think C. L…………….!

Today I need to write, write, write!  To document, debate, and reflect.  What has or hasn’t worked.  Design, space, concept, practicalities and where do I take it from here?  I have many sub-categories to discuss, a lot more than when this residency was first thought of.  However, even that is part of my journey.

Started this post at 10:15! Well, I had manage to choose the image!

So busy talking and listening  Hearing peoples’ thoughts and memories my images have evoked in them.  It wasn’t just the past, or present, but also, the feelings of fear, hope and, dreams for the future, the images gave some folk. Some quiet reflection is necessary.

Visits by strangers, TUTORS!! past and present - friends old and new, all giving something of value to the residency.  Are the visitors gaining from it too?  Some have told me they have and, that is more feedback and food for thought too.

Bed is calling, Bo is not in the mood for a cuddle, that requirement was fulfilled by his mummy and daddy (his human ones!) I know my place!  Just you wait until you want breakfast matey-boy!

Who am I kidding!

Painted during the 2nd year of my BA at GIFHE. Could be and insight of my brain right now!  Neurotransmitters darting all over the space.  Exciting but, tiring too! Dyslexia doesn’t help either! Like so many people. Thank goodness for Spell-check!

Half-way through the Residency and I know that I am going to miss being there when I finish.  It ‘feels’ so ‘right’?! I’m the same when I am in my studio at Abbey Walk Gallery, or in my space at GIHFE! 

I find it difficult to work at home, too many distractions — good ones though, like  phone-calls from my lovely children, friends, etc. Who, I might add, have all supported me so wonderfully.  I try to be as independent as I possible but I know that, because of annoying health issues I have, I could not have come so far without them.

The main distraction is Bo and bed.  I was so tired and frustrated with the old ‘techno’ stuff, that I just snuggled-down with ‘Him that must be obeyed!’ He is very friendly when he is trying to get more grub!

I have come to the conclusion that it is ‘I’ who is the ‘Gremlin’ in the works, not the computer. (Humm!?)  and, seeing myself in the mirror, I look like one!

Off to put the ‘slap’ on!

Is Thursday going to be another good day!
